The earth doesn’t belong to us. We belong to the earth. We are guests. Imagine, if you have guests in your living room, you don’t want them to litter your place either, right? We stand for a clean festival. If we all do our best, and make use of the waste management infrastructure, we will have a very clean festival. The festival is just like our collective living room, with a damn good vibe.
Keep it clean!
Leave the place as you found it, clean and green. At main entrance you will be provided with garbage bag. At garbage hour (time and place will be specified in our booklet which you will receive at entrance) you can exchange your full garbage bag for a beer! How cool is that?
Near camping will be a recycling “eco oasis”. There you can leave plastic and glass bottles, cans, paper and organic waste. Plastic and glass bottles, cans (from drinks) bought in Croatia only are refundable so please do not throw them away in your garbage bags.
Returning cup system
So, how does this work? When you buy your first drink at a bar you will also pay for a cup. Second time you come for a drink, bring your cup, and you will only pay for a drink! If you loose your cup you’ll have to pay for another one. The cups are made from strong pvc which is suitable for reuse. This way you contribute to waste reduction on festival and help to keep our mother Earth green.
There’s something in the river…
Yes indeed… our arthropod friends live there! And they are called stone crayfish or Austropotamobius torrentium. They are protected species in Croatia and by law it is strictly forbidden to fishing or killing them.
Warm and sunny days definitely lure for refreshment… You can refresh yourself in the river but use the showers for washing! And only with biodegradable soap! You can buy really nice and deliciously smelling biodegradable soaps at our info point.
How can you help?
Buy low waste products. Or get rid of excessive packaging, take things out of boxes before you go to the festival. That way you will also save a space in your backpack or car.
Throw your garbage into garbage bins! There will be plenty of them at a festival & camping site.
At the entrance you will be handed a personal ashtray, you can use it to put your cigarette butts in it throughout the festival.
Bring your own reusable coffee mugs, cups, plates, watter bottles…
